Aircraft Mechanic Oral, Practical, & Written Tests

To become an aircraft mechanic, you must take written, oral, and practical tests; a fee for each test is required. Written exams can be taken at any approved FAA testing Center. The cost for a written exam is currently $175.00 each.

A Designated Mechanic Examiner (DME) provides the oral and practical test. The oral and practical examination is not part of our class. Each Applicant must coordinate with a DME and schedule an oral and practical examination. TBA will assist with coordination of a DME. The following is a list of DME’s in the area.
